Legendary Architect I.M. Pei Has Passed Away, Aged 102

The architect displayed an incredible ability to respond to varied design briefs and contexts through the decades.
Chinese American architect I.M Pei passed away last night at the age of 102. Pei’s extraordinary career spanned seven decades, and included the design some of the world’s most iconic buildings. Pei won a host of awards for his work, including the Royal Gold Medal, the AIA Gold Medal, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Praemium Imperiale and the 1983 Pritzker Prize.
